Hi Alison. Thanks for your comment and sorry I haven't noticed it before. The 10th century disc brooch was found on Chalkpit field across the track, not the Boneyard/Reeddam excavations. The finds from the settlement area span early, middle and late AS. Hope that answers your question :)

Re the early to mid 10thc disc brooch, I thought the latest date for that part of the site was c.850AD?
